1.
In the Book of the Dead, we are concerned with beginnings. If there is a morning, then it will become evening. If there is an evening, then it will grow dark. If there is a beginning, there will come an end. Hail to you, who rise in gold. March across the sky. We sing your praise: You have a door of birth. You go rising up. And into a door of stars.
2.
There is a body. It has not moved in several days, and its physicality is becoming offensive. We wish to show our respect. What should we do with it? Body: Yesterday, which is pregnant with the one who shall give birth to himself at another time, belongs to me. I am the steering oar of the East. The possessor of two faces. Anubis is the mortician, and has the head of a jackal because he works at night, performing incantations. Weeping women will woe, and set up places where you have all the things you need to bring you joy. And that sustain you. Body: I have gone forth in my own shape. A possessor of blood. I still have arms. I still have legs, but now they walk in truth. I am complete. Like my father, Ra.
3.
Open the gates to the beyond. Release the flood of moments. Explain that they are one with Ra, in going forth each morning. Then set them on a sacred lake, to navigate the seasons of eternity. Body: I go forth. Hail. Whose name is unknown. Yesterday. Who rises and shines. The wall of walls. Dreams will come to you. In them sail away. Let this sing you to sleep. Are you on the lake? There is no child who treads yesterday's road. I have gone out, and then have gone in. Melting over golden oceans. Going, then coming back.
